Hi! My name is Train Schickele. I’m an untitled-chameleon-beatnik-neo-romantic writer. I’m interested in combining text with visual art and I have aspirations to write films alluding to environmental degradation.

Izzie Stillwaggon is a senior English major with an Art History minor. She likes long hikes, reading novels in happenin' coffee shops, and being a part of awesome literary festivals.

Emma Sheinbaum

 

Emma Sheinbaum is a sophomore Writing major with minors in Honors, Counseling, and English, and this is her second year being a Student Guide. 

Joseph Heiland

 

Joseph Heiland is a senior English major with a Writing minor. He identifies strongly with golden retrievers, is in love with Junot Diaz and Toni Morrison, and is excited to be a part of the festival.

Rose Munsey-Kano

 

Rose Munsey-Kano is a sophomore English major with minors in Writing and Spanish. She is from New Hampshire, enjoys lyric prose and all types of tea, and is extremely excited for the opportunity to be a guide at the festival this year.

Haley Conatser

 

Haley Conatser is a Junior English Major with a Women and Gender Studies Minor. In her free time she likes to binge watch TV shows and pretend she's a wizard.

Mary Oliver

 

Mary Oliver is a senior English major and writing minor from Newtown, CT. She likes to write poems, play outside and hang out at the New Voices Literary Festival. 

Maddie Stengel

 

A sophomore BFA Acting major, receiving a minor in Deaf Studies, Maddie Stengel is returning for her second season with the New Voices Festival. As a native Texan, she loves Shakespeare, vegan cooking, American Sign Language, and the historical rap musical, Hamilton.

Katie Malnati

 

Katie Malnati is a senior English and Spanish major who loves poetry and is thrilled by the opportunity to be a part of the festival this year!

Madeline Hoey

 

Madeline Hoey is a Sophomore Communications Management and Design major from Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to being a New Voices Guide, she is also a member of HiFashion Studios and American Marketing Association at Ithaca College. When she's not reading or painting, you can find her working at the Viva Cantina and eating a lot of tacos!

Taylor Greenwood

 

Taylor Greenwood is a senior English major with a minor in writing, and this is his first year as a guide. He enjoys indie music, Dungeons & Dragons, and talking about children's literature.

Micah Greenleaf

 

Micah Greenleaf is a Playwright in his Sophomore year at IC, in the Theatre Studies Major. He has written numerous short plays and is currently working on his first full length musical. Micah is an avid writer, reader, and music listener of many genres. 

 

Taylor Steinberg

 

Taylor Steinberg is a senior English and Writing double major with a minor in Anthropology. This is her second year as a guide and she is delighted to be a part of the festival again!

Past Intern: Gretchen Hohmeyer

 

Gretchen Hohmeyer graduated with an English and Writing double major with a minor in Honors. Her freshman year she was a Student Guide, but every year after that she live blogged every event and curated the website and social media. She takes great pride in being one of the few people besides the co-directors who have all four years of shirts!
